RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR is a manufacturer of tools for spending time in the mountains, and for simplifying the daily life leading up to that time.
RIDGE MOUNTAIN GEAR has an atelier in Zushi City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and uses the idea of making mountain gear for one's own use as a starting point to carefully create simple, long-lasting tools one by one.
The representative, Mr. Kurosawa, has created the "Waffle Towel" by thinking through the towel that he himself would want to use.
His ideal towel is made of natural fiber, be as light and strong as possible, have excellent water absorbency, and above all, be easy to use every day.
The towel is a blend of 60% cotton and 40% linen to achieve a good balance of absorbency, durability, and quick-drying properties. The waffle weave has excellent water absorbency, and the threads do not easily fall out, making it easy to dry.
It is perfect for hiking, bathing in hot springs or saunas after a mountain climb, traveling, and everyday use.
The first time you use it, it will have the characteristic crispness of hemp, but the more you use it, the more supple it will become, and you can enjoy the change over time.
